Albert Torres To Script “Locke And Key” Adaptation
Locke and Key, the pending big screen adaptation of Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s fantasy/horror comic book of the same name, will be scripted by Albert Torres.
After their father is brutally murdered, three siblings move to their ancestral home in Maine. They discover that the house comes with a set of magical keys that gives them all manner of special abilities and powers, but they also learn that said keys are highly coveted by a very powerful demon.
Producers comprise of Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Bobby Cohen and Ted Adams, the president of IDW Publishing, which publishes the comic book.
On the Universal front, Jon Mone and Jay Polidoro are overseeing the project.
Previously, Fox Television attempted to tackle the property, but nothing happened beyond the pilot.
Prior to venturing into the world of Locke and Key, Torres scripted Henry Poole is Here, a 2008 comedy starring Luke Wilson.
