“Arseface” Cast In “Preacher” Pilot
Arseface is here and teenage actor Ian Colletti has got him.
Colletti will play the character, who attempted to kill himself by blowing half his face off with a shotgun, in the pilot of AMC’s Preacher, a TV adaptation of Garth Ennis’ and Steve Dillon’s best-selling comic series of the same name.
Arseface, whose unsuccessful suicide bid has left him hideously deformed, is actually the son of Hugo Root, a Texas Sheriff who isn’t exactly the nicest guy on the planet.
Preacher, a joint production between Sony Pictures Television and AMC Studios, spins the story of Reverend Jesse Custer, a small town preacher who, after practically losing his faith, becomes merged with a supernatural entity born of an angel and demon.
Accompanied by his ex-girlfriend, Jesse embarks on a road trip to discover to hunt down God and make him explain why he dropped his heavenly duties.
The pilot is slated to begin shooting this year, and will likely premier in 2016. Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogan, who are apparently attached to direct, are also serving as producers
Colletti played the title character in 2013’s Jimmy, in which a teenager, who happens to be mentally challenged, communicates with supernatural creatures known as Watchers.
