Diesel May Star In “Witch Hunter” Sequel
The Last Witch Hunter, starring Vin Diesel as the titular character, isn’t due to be released until October. However, the actor is already hinting at a sequel.
In a Facebook post, the star writes that Lionsgate is so excited by its new movie – directed by Breck Eisner – that it has asked him to block out time to shoot the sequel. This raises the prospect of a Last Witch Hunter franchise – a possibility first raised by Jon Feltheimer, Lionsgate’s CEO, last year. Speaking to investors, he hinted there could be further adventures provided the first movie hit big at the box office.
In the film, which also stars Michael Caine, Elijah Wood and Rose Leslie, Diesel’s character is all that stands between humanity and the combined forces of the most terrifying witches in history.
Cary Goodman, Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless are responsible for the storyline, while producers comprise of Mark Canton, Vin Diesel and Bernie Goldmann.
