“Fast and Furious 7” Gets Release Date
Vin Diesel, via Facebook, has confirmed that Fast and Furious 7 will be released on April 10, 2015.
Universal had put the film on hold after Paul Walker, its star, was killed in a fiery crash at the end of last month.
“The last scene we filmed together…There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared… in the film we were now completing… the magic captured… and, in just how far we’ve come… Fast and Furious 7 will be released… April 10th 2015! P.s. He’d want you to know first…”
The film had originally been slated for a July 2014 release.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, an unnamed source has revealed that Walker will appear in the film, as a result of footage shot before his death, but no further information is available at this time.
The actor, on Thanksgiving break from shooting the project, was riding in a red Porsche which crashed and exploded near a charity event in Santa Clarita California. Roger Rodas, who had been driving the car, was also killed in the crash. Rodas was Walker’s longtime friend, and also served as the star’s financial advisor.
