Harrison Ford Will Star in “Blade Runner” Sequel
Harrison Ford has said the script for the Blade Runner sequel is the best thing he has ever read.
That’s why the star has signed on to reprise his role of police officer Peter Deckard, his character in director Ridley Scott’s 1982 original Blade Runner.
In an interview with Variety, Scott, who will not be in the director’s chair this time around, confirmed that Ford absolutely loves the script. Scott has signed on as producer, and reveals that that the screenplay is “written and ready to go.”
The highly anticipated movie will be produced by Alcon Entertainment, which is currently in talks with Denis Villeneuve, the director of 2013’s Prisoners, to helm the project.
In Scott’s original adventure, set in the dark world of 2019 Los Angeles, Ford’s character – a replicant hunter – must eliminate four replicants who are living on Earth.
