Jimmy Smits Watches Clock On “24”
Jimmy Smits has joined 24: Legacy. The new incarnation of the hit series, which unfolds during the course of 24 hours, will feature an all new cast.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Smits – who has starred on three seasons of Sons of Anarchy, and who received a Golden Globe award for his performance as Detective Bobby Simone on NYPD Blue, will play Senator John Donovan – a contender for the White House.
Miranda will play Donovan’s wife, Rebecca Ingram, a former head of CTU. Ingram is now struggling with her decision to leave the agency.
As previously reported, Kiefer Sutherland, who has played anti-terrorist agent Jack Bauer throughout the show’s previous eight seasons, will not be seen this time around. Instead, the action concerns a military hero (Corey Hawkins), who is trying to stop a massive terrorist attack on U.S. soil.
