No New Home For “Hannibal” Yet
Bad news for Hannibal Fans.
Amazon and Netflix have both passed on picking up the series about serial killer and cannibal Hannibal Lecter.
Last month NBC announced that it would be cancelling the show at the end of its third season, which is currently airing on the network.
Showrunner Bryan Fulller, who has been eagerly trying to find a new home for the series, broke the news via Twitter. However, he still remains optimistic that he can find a fresh slot for the show and says they’re still “investigating possibilities.”
The season starts out with Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen) and Bedelia Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson) – his psychiatrist – on the run in Europe. Although his identity has changed, Hannibal’s appetite has not.
