Noomi Rapace Will Star in Sci-Fi Indie
What Happened to Monday? – a sci-fi indie, will star Swedish actress Noomi Rapace in the role of septuplets sisters, seven children delivered at birth, who struggle to remain hidden in a world where siblings are illegal – thanks to a one child policy law.
When one of their own goes missing, the sisters must resolve their differences and work together in order to avoid execution.
Tommy Wirkola, who previously wrote and directed Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters and Dead Snow, is in the director’s chair.
Raffaella De Laurentis is producing the film through her own company, Rafaella Productions. Meanwhile, Vendome Pictures, a production and finance company, is lining up the bucks.
Originally, the lead was written for a male, but things changed when De Laurentis, after meeting Rapace, decided the actress was a perfect fit.
