Samuel L. Jackson May Visit “Peregrine” Home
Samuel L. Jackson is currently in talks to join the cast of director Tim Burton’s Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children.
However, there’s no word yet as to whether Barron, Jackson’s potential character, is good or bad.
Slated for a March 2016 release date, the film is based on the best-selling novel by Ransom Riggs. A teenage boy discovers the remains of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, located on a remote island off the Welsh coast, and learns that the kids may have been confined for a very specific reason. They may have been dangerous. As if that’s not enough, they may still be alive.
Eva Green, star of Burton’s Dark Shadows, will play the title character, while Hugo’s Asa Butterfield is also attached to star.
Jane Goldman, co-writer of Kingsman: The Secret Service, X-Men: First Class and Kick-Ass, is adapting the project, to be produced by 20th Century Fox and Chernin Entertainment, for the big screen.
Jackson, soon to be seen in the aforementioned Kingsman, is also filming Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight, in which a group of bounty hunters seek shelter from a blizzard in post Civil War Wyoming. The film also stars Channing Tatum, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Kurt Russell, Tim Roth and Michael Madsen, among others.
